Prices are official “from” rates and can change. Prebook Security does not grant access to the Fast Track lane and does not guarantee a specific security time. The airport also does not promise a fixed wait for Fast Track.
Fast Track Security is a paid priority lane that speeds up the journey between the public departures area and airport security. It costs from around £4 per person when you book online more than 24 hours before your flight, or from around £8 at a kiosk on the day, and children under 2 use it free. Tickets can usually be cancelled or amended up to 24 hours before you arrive. The service is available between 04:15 and 20:00. The airport does not guarantee a set time saving, so it is most useful during the early-morning rush and other busy periods.
Separately from paid Fast Track, Luton offers a free service called Prebook Security. It lets you reserve a 30-minute slot to go through security, with no login or registration, and you can book it from 4 days before your trip up until 60 minutes before you reach security. It is currently only available for passengers arriving between 3am and 3pm, and it works on a first-come, first-served basis within your slot, so like Fast Track it does not guarantee an exact wait time. If you want to save the Fast Track fee, this is well worth booking.
If you are flying at a peak time and want a dedicated priority lane, paid Fast Track is the simplest option. If your flight is between 3am and 3pm and you would rather not pay, the free Prebook Security slot is the smart choice. Outside busy periods, the standard lane is often just as fast, so there is no need to pay at all. Whichever you pick, it only helps if you reach the terminal with time to spare, which is where your transfer matters most.
A priority lane is no help if you are stuck in traffic at the drop-off. A fixed-price transfer from £42 takes you door-to-door to Luton Airport with the fare agreed before you book and the £9 terminal drop-off included, so you arrive with time to spare and walk straight to your Fast Track or Prebook slot.
