Waiting time is included
60 minutes after an international arrival, 30 minutes after a domestic one, so passport queues are not your problem.

The driver helps with luggage and walks you to the vehicle. The parking fee is already in your fixed price.
Licensed black cabs use the rank outside the Terminal 5 Arrivals exit; their drivers have passed the Knowledge of London and the fare is metered. Pre booked minicabs and app cars are not allowed on the rank or the forecourt, so they collect from the Terminal Parking car park next to the terminal (a two minute covered walk). If a friend is collecting you, the Park & Ride car park is free for stays under 30 minutes, with a shuttle bus to the terminal doors every 15 minutes.

Every vehicle entering the Terminal 5 drop off zone is charged. Here is how it works and why you pay nothing extra with us.
Number plate cameras record every vehicle entering the T5 drop off zone. The charge is £7 per entry (it rose from £6 on 1 January 2026), with a maximum stay of around 10 minutes. There is no barrier and no machine: it is paid online or by phone by midnight the day after the visit, and each re entry is another £7.
Watford to Terminal 5 at £57 or St Albans at £70 already includes the £7. Our drivers handle the payment. You never see a separate charge.
Whoever drops you off pays the £7, and if they forget, Heathrow issues a penalty of £80 (£40 if paid within 14 days). The free alternative is the Park & Ride car park, free for under 30 minutes, with a shuttle bus to the terminal.
Terminal 5 has its own M25 exit at Junction 14, so from Hertfordshire the M25 clockwise is usually quicker than going through the central terminals.
Terminal 5 is the home of British Airways at Heathrow, and Iberia flies from it too. It is the UK's largest free standing building and is really three buildings: the main 5A terminal with check in and arrivals, and the 5B and 5C satellite gates, reached by a free transit train from Level minus 2. Allow extra time if your gate is in 5C.
Terminal 5 has its own rail station: the Elizabeth line, Heathrow Express (about 15 minutes to Paddington) and the Piccadilly line all stop here. From Hertfordshire, though, every rail option means at least one change with luggage, which is why most of our passengers take a door to door car.
The Sofitel London Heathrow is connected to Terminal 5 by a covered walkway, handy for a very early departure. We collect from any Heathrow hotel at a fixed price.
