60 minutes after an international arrival, 30 minutes after a domestic one, so passport queues are not your problem.

Licensed black cabs use the rank outside the Terminal 2 Arrivals exit; their drivers have passed the Knowledge of London and the fare is metered. Pre booked minicabs and app cars are not allowed on the rank or the forecourt, so they collect from the Terminal Parking car park, reached by a covered walkway straight out of the Arrivals Hall. If a friend is collecting you, the Park & Ride car park is free for stays under 30 minutes, with a shuttle bus to the terminal doors every 15 minutes.

Every vehicle entering the Terminal 2 drop off zone is charged. Here is how it works and why you pay nothing extra with us.
Number plate cameras record every vehicle entering the T2 drop off zone. The charge is £7 per entry (it rose from £6 on 1 January 2026), with a maximum stay of around 10 minutes. There is no barrier and no machine: it is paid online or by phone by midnight the day after the visit, and each re entry is another £7.
Watford to Terminal 2 at £57 or St Albans at £70 already includes the £7. Our drivers handle the payment. You never see a separate charge.
Whoever drops you off pays the £7, and if they forget, Heathrow issues a penalty of £80 (£40 if paid within 14 days). The free alternative is the Park & Ride car park, free for under 30 minutes, with a shuttle bus to the terminal.
Terminal 2 is in the central terminal area, reached from M25 Junction 15 onto the M4 spur (or Junction 14 and the northern perimeter road when the M4 spur is busy).
Terminal 2, the Queen's Terminal, is the home of the Star Alliance airlines at Heathrow: Lufthansa, United, Singapore Airlines, Air Canada and more, plus Aer Lingus. It is the newest terminal building and has a satellite pier (T2B) reached by an underground walkway, so allow a few extra minutes to the gate.
Terminal 2 shares Heathrow Central station with Terminal 3: the Elizabeth line, Heathrow Express (about 15 minutes to Paddington) and the Piccadilly line all stop there, a walk through the underground passageway from the terminal. From Hertfordshire every rail option means at least one change with luggage, which is why most of our passengers take a door to door car.
The Aerotel is within walking distance of Terminal 2 for a very early departure, and the Bath Road hotels are a few minutes away by car. We collect from any Heathrow hotel at a fixed price.
