At a glance

From arrivals hall to car in four simple steps

This is the part most airport transfer websites gloss over. The hard part is not the drive home. It is the 10 minutes after you clear customs. This is exactly where meet & greet saves time and stress.

1

Manual flight tracking

We use the flight number you provide to check official airport arrival information and adjust the planned pickup when needed. Waiting beyond the included allowance may be charged.

2

Name board in arrivals

Your driver is already inside the terminal holding your name board when you walk out of customs. No phone call scramble outside.

3

Luggage straight to the car

You hand over the bags, follow your driver, and leave the terminal properly. That matters after a night flight or with children in tow.

4

Fixed fare already agreed

The job is already priced before you land. No surprise meet & greet line item. No haggling at the terminal. Just get in and go.

What travellers often get elsewhere

  • Low headline fare that looks good until checkout.
  • £15 to £25 add-on for meet & greet after you are already booking.
  • Phone calls outside arrivals while you try to work out where the car is.
  • Heavy bags through a car park or pickup zone after a long flight.

What Prime includes in the fare

  • Meet & greet in arrivals with a visible name board.
  • 60 minutes for international arrivals and 30 minutes for domestic arrivals counted from actual landing time.
  • Luggage help to the vehicle from the terminal exit.
  • One fixed total price shown before you confirm the booking.

Bottom line: meet & greet is valuable because it removes the messy part of an airport pickup, not because it sounds premium. That is why we include it instead of treating it as a last-minute upsell.

Other providers add a £25 meet & greet fee at checkout. With Prime, it is already in your fare — the price you see is the price you pay.

Best for airport arrivals with luggage, children or elderly passengers

Meet & greet is the easiest option when you land with suitcases, travel with young children, or assist an elderly relative. Your driver is waiting inside when you clear customs — no dragging bags to a car park, no searching a crowd outside.

🧳

Heavy luggage

No dragging cases through car parks or waiting zones. Your driver takes your bags from the arrivals hall directly to the boot.

👨‍👩‍👧

Families with children

Travelling with young children or a pushchair is stressful enough. Having your driver inside arrivals removes one more thing to worry about on landing.

👴

Elderly passengers

For older travellers or anyone with mobility needs, being met inside the terminal makes the final leg of the journey smooth and stress-free.

Popular arrival routes

Where passengers usually want this service most

Meet and greet tends to matter most on return pickups from Heathrow and Luton, especially for families, late-night arrivals, business travellers and anyone who does not want to search for a car outside the terminal.

The Service Explained

What does meet and greet actually mean?

Meet and greet is the premium version of an airport pickup. Instead of your driver waiting outside at the kerb — where you have to haul your bags out of the terminal, find the right car among dozens of others, and navigate a busy drop-off zone — your driver comes inside the arrivals hall to find you.

They hold a name board with your name clearly visible. The moment you push your trolley through the customs exit, you see your driver. They greet you, take your luggage, and walk you directly to the vehicle. The whole process takes under two minutes from the moment you spot them.

At Prime Airport Transfer, meet and greet is already built into your fare. The price you see when you get a quote is the price you pay — meet and greet is not added as a line item at checkout. Most transfer companies charge an extra £15–25 "meet and greet fee" after you have already committed to booking. We do not. It is included from the start because we think the service should be standard, not a premium add-on.

1

We ask for your flight number and check your arrival against the airline's official information.

We use the flight number you provide to check official airport arrival information and adjust the planned pickup when needed. Waiting beyond the included allowance may be charged. Learn more on our manual flight tracking page.

2

Your driver parks and enters the terminal

Once your plane lands, your driver parks in the short-stay car park and walks to the arrivals hall. Parking fees are covered by us — nothing is added to your fare.

3

Name board. Straight to the car.

Your driver holds a board with your name. You exit customs, spot them immediately, hand over your luggage, and you are in the car in under two minutes. No calls, no searching, no stress.

4

Included waiting allowance

International arrivals include 60 minutes of waiting and domestic arrivals include 30 minutes. Additional waiting may be charged under our terms.

Why other providers charge extra — and we don't

Many airport transfer websites advertise a low base fare, then add a meet & greet surcharge (typically £15–25) at the checkout stage after you have entered your card details. This is a common pricing tactic across the industry.

At Prime Airport Transfer, meet & greet is included in the fare we show you upfront. The quote on our booking page is the total — there are no service fees, no meet & greet add-ons, and no checkout surprises. What you see is what you pay.

Real Questions, Real Answers

Meet & greet FAQs

What is a meet and greet airport transfer?
Meet and greet means your driver enters the terminal and waits in the arrivals hall with a personalised name board. You do not need to search for a car park or wait outside — your driver finds you the moment you exit customs, takes your luggage, and walks you directly to the vehicle.
Is meet and greet included in the price?
Yes — and more specifically, it is already built into the fare you see when you quote. We do not add a meet and greet surcharge at checkout. Many providers charge £15–25 extra for this at the payment stage; our price is the total price. Parking fees at Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted are also covered by us.
Where does my driver wait at Heathrow T5?
Your driver waits inside the T5 Arrivals Hall near Costa Coffee in the International Arrivals area (ground floor, T5A). They hold a board with your name clearly visible. You cannot miss them as you exit customs.
How long will my driver wait if I am slow through customs?
Provide your flight number when booking. Our team checks official airport arrival information and adjusts the planned pickup when needed. Your fare includes 60 minutes of waiting after an international arrival and 30 minutes after a domestic arrival; additional waiting may be charged under our terms.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Provide your flight number when booking. Our team checks official arrival information and adjusts the planned pickup when needed. The included waiting allowance and our terms still apply. See how our Manual flight tracking work.
What if I cannot find my driver after landing?
Call or WhatsApp the number on your booking confirmation. Your driver will also attempt to contact you if they cannot see you in the expected area. We never leave without confirming contact — if there is any confusion, we stay until you are found.
What is the difference between meet and greet and kerbside?
Meet and greet means your driver enters the terminal and waits inside arrivals with a name board. Kerbside means you exit the terminal and find the vehicle parked or waiting just outside. Meet and greet is far easier after a long-haul flight, late arrival, or when travelling with children and heavy luggage. Both options are free — you can specify your preference when booking.
Do you offer meet and greet at Luton Airport?
Yes. Your driver enters the Luton Arrivals Hall and waits with a name board. The airport terminal drop-off charge is included in your fixed fare. This is not the same as the official Luton Airport Meet & Greet car park, which costs £50+ per week for self-parkers — our service is a completely different arrangement.
Do you offer meet and greet at Stansted?
Yes. Your driver enters Stansted's International Arrivals Hall and waits near Costa Coffee with a name board. We cover the £10 arrivals parking fee — it is built into our service and not charged to you separately.
Can I book a meet and greet transfer from St Albans or Hitchin?
Yes. Meet and greet is standard on all our arrival pickups regardless of your pickup town. Whether you are travelling from St Albans to Heathrow, Hitchin to Heathrow, or Cambridge to Heathrow, your return pickup always includes a driver waiting inside arrivals with a name board.

Your driver is already watching your flight.

Book your airport transfer now. We handle the tracking, the timing, and the name board. You just walk through customs.
